Term Four starts next week on the 10th of October with a special guest speaker Dan the Muffin Man. Many of you will remember him telling a joke at youth a few terms ago about a Muffin. When Ralph went away to Peru it was to spend time working with Dan helping people. So expect a night with many great stories and lots of fun. The night starts at 6:30 and goes to 9pm.

Youthstreet consent forms are attached, if you come to Youthstreet without a signed consent form please print off the file titled consent form.pdf and get your parents to fill it out and return it to the sign in desk at Youth. If you are unsure of whether you have a consent form signed please reply to this email and we’ll get back to you.

The Fun Night Out is on the 17th of October (second week back) and we are having a Beach BBQ at Broadbeach. It will go from 7pm to 9pm and will be located on Old Burleigh Road in the park past the surf club (if heading south). The cost will be a gold coin.

Also finally we have some really exciting news (which I daresay most of you know considering the rumors have been floating around for months!) we are having a summer camp next year! It is going from the 19th of January to the 21st of January and it will cost $100. It is up at Camp Currimundi which is north (I think!) of Caloundra, really close to the beach. It is going to be a great camp. The first week back when you sign out you will be given a letter with all the information your parents will need for the camp so please make sure you grab one and get it to your parents. Registrations will start up on the 24th of October and a $40 deposit will secure your spot.

Car Rally - 19th September:

This week we have our Car Rally get the consent form filled in and bring it along.

Holidays:

Youthstreet will be on holidays for 2 weeks (the 26th of September and 3rd of October) and will resume on the 10th of October.

Well the Fun Nite Out is coming up on the 29th August (that’s the Gold Coast show holiday) and below you’ll find what your life group is doing, what time and where you’ll be meeting!

 

Grade 8:

Guys will be teaming up with the Grade 9 guys and we’ll be heading to Sizzlers for more food than you can handle. bring $20. It’s located on the West side of the Gold Coast Highway between Gaven Crsnt and Crescent Ave next to the KFC. Be there from 6pm til 9pm

Girls will be teaming up with the grade 10 girls and they will be off Ice Skating at Gold Coast Iceland.

15 Strathaird Road, Bundall at 7:30pm. $15

Grade 9:

Guys are teaming up with the grade 8 guys at Sizzlers Mermaid Beach from 6pm til 9pm. It’s located on the West side of the Gold Coast Highway between Gaven Crsnt and Crescent Ave next to the KFC. Bring $20

Girls are spending their Fun Nite Out having a…Fun Nite In… 6:30pm - 8:30pm in youth Centre. Bring hair straighteners, nail polish, foot spas..anything girly. bring $5 to cover costs for lollies, chocolates and other snacks!

Grade 10:

Guys are meeting at the church at 6:45pm and will be heading to Burleigh Beach for some fun in the not-so-sun. Pick up will be at 8:30pm from the church

Girls are teaming up with the grade 8 girls and they will be heading off Ice Skating at Gold Coast Iceland.

Girls are doing their activity on Saturday the 23rd. If they wish to join the grade 8’s and 10 girls at Ice Skating, see the information for Grade 8 or 10 Girls.

Guys will be meeting at Byron’s place for a bonfire. check here soon for more details

Girls have different things planned to help other life groups. Talk to Ralph to see what you can do.

So Youthstreet is back for term III. A few things, I’ve put the consent forms needed for new students to fill in below.

And on the 9th of August (It’s a Saturday) Youth Alive is coming to the Gold Coast, Reggie Dabbs, The Youth Alive Band and Antiskeptic. The cost is $15 if you pay us before next friday, otherwise it’s $20 at the door.

Hi Youthstreet,
This week we have our Freaky Friday night, so what that means (for those like me who haven’t seen the movie!) is that we all are coming dressed as our parents. The gang that has the most amount of people dressed up will win precious points for their gang.
Winter camp is approaching fast, with only a few weeks left to get your consent and $50 deposit in to secure your place.

Op Shop Formal is in 3 weeks. It will cost $5 for a full night of fun and formal antics. For those of you who are worried about whether you need a date or not…you don’t. You definitely do not need to have a date to attend. But if you want to, go for it. Dates of the same gender are fine for those of you that want to have a girls/guys night out (I’m going with Spencer for example!)
